Doing P90X with a headache!
All day I was excited about today’s workout -Legs, Back & Ab Ripper X, however, about an hour before my workout I got a pretty bad headache. This led me to asking myself “Should I do p90x with a headache?” I decided to go ahead and do my workout.
I was a little worried about not getting a good workout because I would not be able to push myself as hard as normal because it would cause my head to hurt more; however, I figured a workout that is not as good as my normal workout would be better than not working out at all!
During my leg exercises my head was not hurting that bad but when I did pull-ups it began to hurt quite a bit. I DECIDED TO PUSH THROUGH THE PAIN!!! Even though I was doing p90x while my head is hurting, I tried not to let it affect my workout.
IT GOT BETTER!!! I would say roughly 30 minutes or so into the workout I began to notice my headache going away! It only hurt when I was doing pull ups at this point. By the time I was finished with legs and back and went into ab ripper x, my headache was gone!!! After finishing Ab Ripper X, I felt a million times better than when I started! (Mostly because I decided to BRING IT even though I had a headache.
I’m not saying that P90X is medicine or that it will cure your headache but I will say that if you make sure you breath correctly and have good form, the “posture” and good blood flow may even get rid of your headache!
If your asking yourself “should I do p90x while I have a headache” than my response to you would be YES YOU SHOULD DO YOUR WORKOUT STILL REGARDLESS OF YOUR HEADACHE! If you can not bring it like you normally can,… THAT IS OKAY! Stick with it, do your best and forget the rest!
